BlueDot is growing and as a result we are looking for a Vice President, Marketing to join our team of BlueDotters!

 

The main objectives of this exciting new role are to establish a high performing marketing team to enable B2G/B2B market growth to double revenue year over year through progressive brand building, communications and lead generation strategy and management. 

 

Remote role: anywhere in Canada.

BlueDot protects people around the world from infectious diseases using human and artificial intelligence. Our software-as-a-service solution combines medical and public health expertise with advanced data analytics to track, contextualize, and mitigate infectious disease risks. Our global early warning system combines more than 100 datasets with proprietary algorithms to deliver critical insights on the spread of infectious diseases. In December 2019, we flagged an undiagnosed respiratory syndrome in Wuhan, China. In January 2020, we published the world's first scientific paper on COVID-19, accurately predicting its global spread. Our team understands the complexity of the challenge in front of us – and that the urgency to solve the problem has never been greater.

What you will do in more detail:  

   

  • Assess, strategize, build, and lead a core marketing team over the next 3-6 months
  • Grow BlueDot’s global brand awareness within target market segments
  • Proactively and strategically manage BlueDot’s communications and PR strategy
  • Develop and Manage BlueDot’s Lead Generation strategy and efforts
  • Establish Paid, Earned and Owned (PEO) media performance targets including roadmap quarterly performance growth targets
    • Operationalize measurement methods/dashboards and regular executive reporting on all key marketing performance metrics including the examples above and marketing ROI 


    What you bring to BlueDot: 


    • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent experience 
    • 15+ years (10 within senior leadership) of B2G and/or B2B marketing experience, with deep knowledge of all facets of marketing leadership in a software/data-product focused business including multi-channel brand management, lead generation, PR/Communications strategy, go-to-market development, product launch, messaging, incentives
    • 5+ years of SaaS marketing B2B experience with lead generation strategy and execution focus including proven history of achieving incremental growth targets
    • Proven marketing team builder with a track record of building teams to grow with the business
    • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving industry
    • Performance focused individual with experience working from concept to completion, dealing with ambiguity and working toward clarity, while maintaining high quality in outcomes and a strong sense of accountability
    • Exceptional communication skills, solid understanding of the media industry tracking capabilities (preferably Public Sector (Government) and Fortune 2000 companies)
    • Experience working on projects in Life Sciences or heavily data-rich organizations a plus
    • Strong creative campaign ideation skills, examples of having led innovative marketing campaigns to drive qualified leads and conversions to revenue
    • Hands on, evidence of having done the work vs. only leading the work

    We are working fully remotely due to COVID-19 until at least January 2022 – post pandemic we will continue with our remote first culture with the opportunity for a hybrid/flexible office space in downtown Toronto accessible to our team but without the requirement to work from the office.
