BlueDot is seeking a Business Development Representative who is driven by work with purpose. BlueDot continues to grow! We are looking to add another Business Development Representative who is driven by work with purpose and has a keen interest and education in healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be on the front lines of our sales process. You will be responsible for strategically sourcing outbound and qualifying sales opportunities.

Who we are: 
BlueDot protects people around the world from infectious diseases using human and artificial intelligence. Our software-as-a-service solution combines medical and public health expertise with advanced data analytics to track, contextualize, and mitigate infectious disease risks. Our global early warning system combines more than 100 datasets with proprietary algorithms to deliver critical insights on the spread of infectious diseases. In December 2019, we flagged an undiagnosed respiratory syndrome in Wuhan, China. In January 2020, we published the world's first scientific paper on COVID-19, accurately predicting its global spread. Our team understands the complexity of the challenge in front of us – and that the urgency to solve the problem has never been greater.

The role: 

As a BDR, you will be working with Account Executives to strategically target key accounts as well as researching/developing accounts on your own to prospect into (email, phone, & social). You will collaborate with Sales and Marketing Executives to drive new business and achieve your monthly quota of sales qualified opportunities. 

What you will do in more detail:

  • Excited to hunt for new B2B business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline by cold calling and emailing
  • Able to strategically research and develop accounts for prospecting
  • Excited to thrive in a dynamic environment, developing the role as things change with the business
  • Building consultative relationships with Healthcare, Health Tech, and public sector leaders
  • Working with sales technologies, ideally HubSpot or SalesForce, Linkedin Sales Navigator, GoToMeeting/Zoom, Slack
  • Qualifying the wants/needs of an organization
  • Exceeding weekly and monthly activity goals 

What you bring to BlueDot: 


  • Passionate about wanting to help make the world healthier, safer, and more prosperous, align with our vision and our values
  • You have spent the past 1 to 2 years as a BDR exceeding performance targets in preferrably in BlueDot’s industries of interest
  • Successful experience within early and growth phase start-ups
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues in a results-driven, team-oriented environment
  • You carry no ego, are agile in your approach and do not overpromise, you definitely work hard to delight customers
  • Your communication skills are exceptional – written, verbal, presentation and are delivered with confidence, research backed and not with arrogance
  • There is a confidence in reaching out to senior level executives and you have the ability and desire to build strong relationships using active listening skills
  • You possess a well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and empathetic people leadership skills
  • You are curious by nature and possess a strong growth and learning mindset
